The web has converged. The same grid, the same greyscale, the same three sections in the same order — a million companies wearing one outfit, each of them certain it looks like nobody else.
It is cheap up front and ruinous afterwards. People decide what you are worth in the first seconds, long before they read a word, and a site that looks like everyone else has already answered for you. Customers leave. Investors pass. Nothing about it feels like a decision, because it wasn’t one.
Ambition should be visible before it is explained.
